Major General Hussein Ahmed Ali was born on February 21, 1930 in a village called Kedan Gora in Djo, in the former province of Attar, Wolo province, near Dese. When Major General Hussein Ahmed was still a child, his father, Ahmed Ali, left Djibouti and moved to Dese City. As soon as they finished reading and writing, their father made them learn English.

He did his primary education at King Michael School and Mrs. Shin's School and after passing the 8th grade exit exam, he entered Tetferi Mekonon School in Addis Ababa in 1946. They used to gather talented students from every province and teach them. The student Hussein says, "In my final year of high school (in 1949), I was suspected of being involved in a rebellion by students, so I was transferred to Harar Madaneinelam High School to finish."

The student Hussein passed the high school graduation exam and entered the college known as "Ethio Sweden Construction College" in September 1950. At the end of the first year of the same year, a new thing was opened in the country, the Ethiopian Military Academy. Ethiopia. Academy wanted to recruit and train qualified students from all schools.

The student Hussein joined the Ethiopian Army Academy as one of the first 40 students of the Ethiopian Army Academy School. After successfully completing the training leading to military service, on September 21, 1953, in the presence of Emperor Haile Selassie, he was awarded the rank of vice centurion and second year college diploma.

In October 1953, Hussein Ahmed, who was assigned as a coach at Holeta Garden Army School, entered Addis Ababa College to continue the twoyear college education he had started after three years of work and graduated with a BA degree in public administration.

In September 1958, by the order of the Ministry of National Defense, he became a member of the Ethiopian International Military Peacekeeping Mission to the United Nations and went to India and Pakistan and fulfilled his peacekeeping duty for six months.

As soon as they returned to their country, they continued their coaching work at Holeta Garden Army School. In the year Pagume 1959, he was promoted to the rank of captain. In 1960, they moved to Addis Ababa after being assigned to the officers' administration office of the General Department of the Army.

In December 1967, he went to the United States of america to study management for senior officers and received the rank of lieutenant colonel. During the invasion of Somalia in April 1969, he saved the motherland by being the commander of the militia brigade. Before the end of the war in Somalia, the TPLF and Shabia in the northern part of our country raised a demand for secession. In July 1969, this army officer arrived in Eritrea by plane with his army for military duty.

From July 1969 to 1983, he protected his motherland by being the military commander of the second revolutionary army of Eritrea to protect the country's sovereignty. He earned the rank of Major General in the desert of Eritrea.

The war veteran served in many positions during his time in Eritrea. For example, after the assassination of Major General Demsey Bulto, who was the commander in chief of the Second Abiotic Army in the failed coup d'état of May 8, 1981, he led Eritrea's huge and strong Hussein as the commander in chief until May 1983. In October 1973, he became the deputy commander of the 506th Task Force of the Waqau Command and performed his duty on the Sudan coast through Algena and Karora.

Finally, on Tuesday, May 13, 1983, Lieutenant General Addis Tedla told Major General Hussein Ahmed that the kingdom had fled Haile Mariam. Major General Hussein Ahmed married Mrs. Baletu Mehretu on October 17, 1960 and they have three children.
